Take the same concept as our Mountain Town TV plugin for Kodi and apply it more generally to a Roku app.
The Roku TOS makes it very difficult to have a bridge to user generated content. Locking to a single instance makes it easier for us to ensure that the available videos meet Roku's standards.
We can use the open source peervue application as a jumping point.
